Applications:

It is soluble in various cellulose resins, rubber, and vinyl resins, and has good film-forming, adhesive, and waterproof properties. It is often used in conjunction with diethyl phthalate in the production of cellulose acetate films, varnish, transparent paper, and molding powder. A small amount is used in the production of nitrocellulose. It can also be used as a plasticizer for nitrile rubber. This product can also be used as a solvent for mosquito repellent oil (crude oil), polytetrafluoroethylene coatings, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, and DDT.
