DOS is a mono constituent substance organic origin, obtained by esterification of Sebacic acid and 2-ethylhexyl alcohol. This substance acts as primary monomeric plasticizer.

 

Applications:

DOS is used in a lot of applications in the thermoplastic industries due to maintain very good flexibility and functionality at low temperatures over PVC and its polymers modification, ethyl cellulose, cellulose nitrate, chlorinated rubber, and nitrile rubber.
